Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the new fighting game for the Nintendo Wii that brings together an all-star cast of video game characters together for a full-fledged melee, and there are lots of Pokémon surprises inside. We reveal two of those surprises just ahead!
Still here? Then let’s introduce you to a special hidden stage of Super Smash Bros. Brawl: the Spear Pillar! You may remember the Spear Pillar as a mysterious place in Sinnoh that’s linked to Dialga and Palkia. So naturally, each time you battle at the Spear Pillar in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, either Dialga or Palkia will appear—check the color of a stage for a hint as to which one! No matter which of them appears, you’d better be careful. Their appearance could mean blasting beams, falling rocks, and even the warping of time and space! But if you keep your wits about you, look closely and you may spot some of Sinnoh’s other Legendary Pokémon, like Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, or even Cresselia!
In addition to Pikachu and a Pokémon Trainer, there’s a hidden playable Pokémon character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it’s none other than Lucario! With its Aura moves—including its Final Smash move, Aura Storm—and its own style of martial arts, Lucario’s attacks have a longer range than you’d think. And what doesn’t defeat Lucario will only make it stronger: the more damage Lucario takes, the more its Aura powers up its attacks! Yes, Lucario definitely sounds like a formidable character to have on your side, though of course you'll have to unlock it first. There are actually multiple ways of unlocking Lucario, but here's a hint: you should be ready to take it on if you try...
That's all we'll tell you for now, but for more information, check out the Super Smash Bros. Brawl website and stay tuned to Pokémon.com!
