This Sunday, April 22, 2007, is truly a momentous day in Pokémon history. It’s the release of the latest handheld RPG’s in the series, Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl! These jewels for the Nintendo DS introduce a new region, Sinnoh, lots of new gameplay options, and over 100 new Pokémon to capture!
To celebrate the occasion, we’re having a party over at the Nintendo World store in Rockefeller Center! There’ll be stations featuring the new games for you to check out, a movie lounge showcasing the new DVD release Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea, Pokémon characters to meet in the plaza, and a great stage show featuring lots of games, contests, and prizes!
Can’t make it to the event but still want to join in the fun? Well, just hop on over to Pokémon.com the day of the event, from 1pm to 5pm, and watch our live webcast that will follow the action and make sure that those at home won’t miss out!

So hop on by your nearest video game dealer to pick up one – or both! You can also check out PokemonCenter.com for special bundles that include strategy guides and pins. However you choose to mark this special Diamond and Pearl day, we guarantee it will be brilliant like the gems it’s named for!
