Trainers competing in the 2020 Pokémon Dallas Regional Championships battled using the Series 1 2020 Video Game Championships format. Battles took place in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Players were permitted to use any Pokémon in the Galar Pokédex except for the strongest Legendary Pokémon and certain Pokémon with the Gigantamax Factor.
