Registration for the event is open to all players in good standing with the Play! Pokémon program. Players must have an active Play! Pokémon account with current and accurate information. If there's an issue with your account, it must be reported to customer service before Friday, June 16, 2017.

This competition will use the Standard format. Players must bring their own tournament-legal 60-card deck. Players must adhere to the Tournament Rules.

Pokémon TCG Masters Division competitors will begin Swiss rounds on Friday. Players with X–2 records or the top 32 players (whichever number is greater) will advance to Saturday. Saturday will have more Swiss rounds (approximately 5, subject to the number of players), and then a Top 8. The Pokémon TCG Masters Division may be broken into multiple flights, resulting in a larger top cut and/or more Swiss rounds, depending on the number of players.

Pokémon TCG Junior and Senior Division players will also begin Swiss rounds on Friday, June 30.

Top cut for all TCG age divisions will begin on Saturday evening. Conclusion of top cut for all TCG age divisions will be on Sunday, July 2.

 

Players’ Meeting

A mandatory players’ meeting for all age divisions will start at 9 a.m. Friday, June 30, inside the event space (Halls H and I at the Indiana Convention Center). All Pokémon TCG competitors will need to turn in their pre-completed deck list during the players’ meeting for their age division. Players should be sure to write clearly on their deck list—illegible writing on a deck list may incur penalties. Players are allowed to use cards from their home market in languages other than English.

 

Start of Play

All Pokémon TCG age divisions will start their first round of play at approximately 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 30. Competitors who have not picked up their badge and checked in prior to the start of Round 1 for their age division will be dropped from the main tournament, but will still be permitted entry into the event space.

 

Prizes

Players at the 2017 Pokémon TCG North American International Championships will be competing for Championship Points and prizes. The final Championship Point payout is determined by the number of players per age division. All participants will receive 5 Play! Points and several Pokémon International Championships participation items (while supplies last), just for playing!

Additional Prize Information

Prizes are based on attendance per age division. All prizes are paid in US dollars and subject to applicable tax withholding. Prize winners should consult a qualified tax professional regarding their tax obligations.

TCG International Championships with age division attendance of fewer than 17 players will not receive prize money.

Additionally, the top 32 Pokémon TCG players will receive Pokémon TCG booster packs, regardless of attendance.
