The 2022 Pokémon UNITE World Championships will begin on Friday, August 19, and complete on Saturday, August 20.
Qualifications
Teams (as shown below) will earn an invitation and receive a travel award to the 2022 World Championships in London. Teams that qualify for the World Championships from the Regional Finals must maintain the same five-player roster that was used to earn their invitation.

Some countries/regions may require players to be at least 18 years old. Regional Zone configurations, including number of zones, regions/countries, and number of teams qualifying from each zone, are subject to change.
Qualified players will be expected to register for the 2022 World Championships event. Additional information on registration will be provided at a later date.
Competition Format
On Friday, the 16 teams will be split into 4 groups of 4 teams each. Teams will battle other teams in their group until each team has either two wins or two losses. Teams with two losses will be eliminated from the competition. Two teams from each group will advance to the bracket stage.
On Saturday, the 8 teams that advanced will compete in a new seeded double-elimination bracket. This bracket will be played until a Champion is crowned.
Players must comply with the Tournament Rules.

Proof of age may be requested. Failure to provide proof of age may result in the player or team being denied participation in the tournament, at the organizer’s discretion.
Competition Details
Players will compete on devices provided by the organizer. At the event, players will have the option of using either a Nintendo Switch system or a mobile device.
