Burn your opponents’ defenses to a crisp with the red-hot Fire-type field sync pair, Blue (Classic) & Charizard, and their signature buddy move, Neo Blast Burn. This buddy move can only be used during sunny weather, but Blue (Classic) & Charizard can easily turn up the heat and create those sunny conditions with their max move, Max Flare. Once the sun is shining bright, each use of Neo Blast Burn lowers the target’s Defense and Special Defense by one stat rank—you’ll be saying “smell ya later!” to your opponents in no time.
By lowering your opponents’ defenses and changing the weather, Blue (Classic) & Charizard are well-suited to supporting your Fire-type sync pairs. But they can also ignite their own damage potential with two key passive skills: Entry: Sp. Atk ↑ & Speed ↑ 4 and Kanto Journey Legacy.
Entry: Sp. Atk ↑ & Speed ↑ 4 raises Blue (Classic) & Charizard’s Sp.Atk and Speed by four stat ranks immediately upon entering battle, allowing them to hit hard right out of the gate. Kanto Journey Legacy, on the other hand, guarantees that Blue (Classic) & Charizard’s moves will never miss. If that wasn’t enough already, successful hits with their attack moves, sync moves, and max moves will become critical hits—barring certain circumstances.
For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Blue (Classic) & Charizard’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Blue (Classic) & Charizard are available to scout from the Blue Mix Scout, a unique scout where many past sync pairs are available, from April 30, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. to August 31, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.
The Blue Mix Scout is replacing the previously run Red Mix Scout—which allowed for nine scouts per day using paid gems only. In addition to mix sync pairs, mix scouts also feature variety sync pairs, costume sync pairs, seasonal sync pairs, and fair-exclusive sync pairs. These types of sync pairs usually only appear for a limited time in their own scouts, so the Blue Mix Scout is a great way to potentially partner with sync pairs you may have missed while you scout for Blue (Classic) & Charizard.
Like with any scout, players will be able to select any available sync pair after reaching 300 scout points. These scout points will be carried over until the banner ends on August 31, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT. Details on available sync pairs and their offering rates can be found on Blue (Classic) & Charizard’s in-game sync pair scout screen under Offering Rate.
Recommended Sync Pairs to Partner with Blue (Classic) & Charizard
Silver & Ho-Oh
Silver & Ho-Oh are one of the most powerful Fire-type strike sync pairs in Pokémon Masters EX, and their potential is truly unlocked when paired with sync pairs that can make the weather sunny. Their passive skills Charging Sun 6 and Speeding Sun 2 both rely on sunny weather—the former powers up the user’s moves and the latter quickly charges the move gauge. Blue (Classic) & Charizard’s Max Flare easily sets up sunny weather for Silver & Ho-Oh and even gives them the option to use Solar Beam early on in battle!
Silver & Ho-Oh can be obtained by completing Pure Hearts and Rainbow Wings in the Legendary Adventures section of the main story.
Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh
Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh are yet another Fire-type sync pair that love to have fun in the sun provided by Blue (Classic) & Charizard’s Max Flare. Their passive skill Team Sunbathe 9 restores the HP of all allied sync pairs when they use a move during sunny weather, keeping your team topped up against opponents with moves that target all opponents.
Their Trainer move Believe! also reaches its full potential during sunny weather by applying the Move Gauge Acceleration effect to the allied field of play, which raises the Defense, Sp. Def, and Speed of all allied sync pairs by one stat rank. In sunny weather, though, it also raises the critical-hit rate of all allied sync pairs by one stat rank, further increasing your team’s offensive potential.
Sygna Suit Morty & Ho-Oh are not currently available to scout, though they may return in the future!
