The annual celebration of all things Pokémon—known worldwide as Pokémon Day—takes place on 27 February 2025. While there are a variety of ways to join the fun, catching colourful Pokémon in a Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet mass outbreak event will leave you feeling anything but blue. From Friday, 28 February 2025, at 00:00 UTC to Thursday, 20 March 2025, at 23:59 UTC, mass outbreaks of red-, green-, and blue-coloured Pokémon will be appearing throughout various locations. Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks, so don’t be left feeling green with envy!

Red-y to get started? Look for the following Pokémon in these locations:

• Paldea – Charcadet, Smoliv, and Finizen

• Kitakami – Applin, Sewaddle, and Poliwag

• Blueberry Academy – Porygon, Scyther, and Lapras

Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. To participate in mass outbreak events, you will need to download the latest Poké Portal News and install the latest update data for your game.
