Celebrate Good Times during Pokémon GO’s 7th Anniversary Party

Get the party started with bountiful event bonuses, incredible research, and more.

It’s been seven splendid years of catching, battling, and making friends in Pokémon GO, so now’s the time to celebrate with an all-out 7th Anniversary Party! Through July 12, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time, throw on a festive party hat and make the most of unique daily event bonuses, Field Research, Timed Research, and Masterwork Research—all while catching costumed Pokémon.

Seven’s your lucky number during this celebration—you’ll have an increased chance of obtaining 7, 77, or more Gimmighoul Coins when spinning a PokéStop with a Golden Lure Module. And Pokémon No. 0007, Squirtle, will play a starring role during Community Day Classic on July 9 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. Throughout the week, there will be an increased chance to become Lucky Friends and an increased chance to receive Lucky Pokémon in trades.

Sublime Event Bonuses

Every day of the celebration brings superb bonus, so catch, hatch, transfer, and evolve to take advantage of the following.

  • July 6: 2× XP for catching Pokémon

  • July 7: 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon

Take on anniversary-themed Field Research tasks to earn encounters with first partner Pokémon, such as Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, and Mudkip. Some tasks will also award Mega Energy for Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Sceptile, Blaziken, or Swampert. Trainers can also purchase a Timed Research ticket for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). To receive all the rewards, this Timed Research must be completed before July 12, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time—it includes tasks such as hatching seven Eggs and evolving seven Pokémon. Rewards include the following.

  • 1 Incubator

  • 1 Super Incubator

  • 1 Premium Raid Pass

  • 1 Lucky Egg

  • 1 Rocket Radar

Lastly, celebrate seven years with the Masterwork Research Story All-in-One #151, available for US$5.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). As hinted by the number, Trainers who complete this research will earn an encounter with Shiny Mew. This research was originally available during Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto in 2021, and it will only be available to Trainers who didn’t purchase the research in 2021. Tickets are available for purchase through July 12, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
