Challenge Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise in Tera Raid Battles

Add these iconic Pokémon to your team to celebrate the anniversary of Pokémon.

The Pokémon video game series kicked off 28 years ago when the Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green games were released in Japan on February 27, 1996—celebrate by challenging Kanto’s fully evolved first partner Pokémon at black Tera Raid crystals in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. You’ve seen these classic Pokémon for over 25 years, but you’ve rarely seen them this powerful. Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise are set to be formidable foes, and they all have the Mightiest Mark to prove it! They’ll each be appearing for a week at a time, starting with Venusaur later today.

From Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PST to Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 3:59 p.m. PST, Ground–Tera Type Venusaur will take root in 7-star Tera Raid Battles. Next, Steel–Tera Type Blastoise will stand strong in 7-star Tera Raid Battles from Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PST to Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT. Finally, Dragon–Tera Type Charizard will heat things up once again when it returns to 7-star Tera Raid Battles from Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. PDT to Sunday, March 17, 2024, 2024, at 4:59 p.m. PDT.

To challenge these Pokémon with the Mightiest Mark, Trainers will need to either complete the postgame events that follow the main story or join a 7-star Tera Raid Battle hosted by a Trainer who has completed those events. These special Pokémon can each be caught only once per save data.
