It’s time for the festivities to officially begin now that the Holiday Part 1 event has started in in Pokémon GO. From Tuesday, December 17, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time, you’ll be able to celebrate with the debut of Dedenne wearing delightful holiday attire (and yes, lucky Trainers may encounter a Shiny one), the debut of Shiny Sandygast, Raid Battles, and more. Throughout the event, a pair of bonuses will be active: 2× XP from catching Pokémon and 1/2 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event. Other Holiday Part 1 Event Activities
The festive fun continues with event-themed Field Research tasks that, when completed, earn you encounters with event-themed Pokémon. There will also be special paid Timed Research available for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Complete tasks associated with this Timed Research to collect rewards including two Premium Battle Passes, an Incubator, 1,500 Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Please note that the tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Friday, December 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
