Online Competitions are under way in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield on Nintendo Switch. To earn Championship Points (CP) or other special rewards, you’ll need to link your Nintendo Account to your Pokémon Trainer Club account. (If you simply wish to register for and compete in these competitions, you don’t need to link your accounts.)
To earn CP or other special rewards, you’ll need to link your accounts before registering for an Online Competition and keep them linked until after rewards have been awarded. If you unlink your accounts in the future, you’ll retain any CP and special rewards you’ve earned.
Children will need to have the parent or guardian who manages their accounts log in to their Pokémon Trainer Club account and consent to linking the accounts before continuing.
Follow these steps to link your accounts.
Log in to your Pokémon Trainer Club account.
Click Nintendo Account Link in the sidebar.
Read the information on linking your accounts.
If you agree, click the Link to Nintendo Account button, which will send you to a Nintendo.com log-in page.
Log in to your Nintendo Account—be sure your birth date matches on both accounts!
You’re all set! You’ll be returned to Pokemon.com.
