The Pokémon GO Powerful Potential event runs from Wednesday, March 5, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 10, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, and includes the debut of Kubfu, a Pokémon originally discovered in the Galar region. Look forward to a Special Research story featuring the Wushu Pokémon where you’ll get to know your new Legendary partner. You can claim the Might and Mastery Special Research at no cost from Wednesday, March 5, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 a.m. local time.

This event’s all about meeting Pokémon with powerful potential, so there’s another fun debut in store—Shiny Charcadet! You’ll be able to hatch Shiny Charcadet from Eggs for the first time, if you’re lucky, and it will hatch from 2 km, 5 km, 7 km, and 10 km Eggs for the duration of the event. The Pokémon GO Powerful Potential event also features 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event—which upgrades to 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance after completing the free Timed Research—so be sure to take advantage of this event bonus.

Max Battles

Speaking of powerful potential, some recognizable fully-evolved first partner Pokémon will be making their return to Six-Star Max Battles. From Saturday, March 8, at 6:00 a.m. to Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time, Power Spots will refresh more frequently, and you’ll be able to encounter the following Pokémon in Max Battles.
