The season of scares and spirits is upon us, and Pokémon GO is a veritable haunted house of dreadful delights. Through October 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Part 1 of the Pokémon GO Halloween 2022 event offers an immersive experience for Trainers who ain’t afraid of no Ghost-type Pokémon. Mega Banette makes its debut in Pokémon GO raids, and Altered Forme Giratina will be in five-star Raid Battles through November 8. Plus, any Giratina caught during this time will know the Ghost-type attack Shadow Force, which is making its Pokémon GO debut!
PokéStops and Gyms will be dressed up with fang-tastic décor. Sweet treats are an important part of the Halloween experience, so Trainers can enjoy event bonuses that include double Candy for catching, hatching, and transferring Pokémon. Also, Trainers above Level 31 are guaranteed to receive one Candy XL while walking their buddy. And, to help set the mood, a remix of the Lavender Town theme will play after dark throughout the event.
If Candy, tunes, and décor weren’t sufficiently enticing, Trainers have several opportunities to enjoy themed research. Through November 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Trainers can claim a Special Research story focused on Yamask and Galarian Yamask, with Shiny Galarian Yamask making its Pokémon GO debut. Double down on research with two different Timed Research opportunities. For US$1.00*, Trainers can purchase a ticket offering encounters with Yamask as a research reward. Tickets are also available for US$5.00* that feature increased Candy bonuses, additional Halloween-themed tasks, and an avatar item. Trainers can purchase one or both Timed Research tickets. Give a ghoulish gift by purchasing and gifting tickets to friends that you have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.
