Mega Gardevoir Debuts in Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day 2023 Event

Catch feelings and Pokémon in this weeklong celebration of friendship and Candy.

Pokémon GO has some sweet treats in store for Trainers with its Valentine’s Day 2023 event, which will run through February 14, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Mega Gardevoir is making its Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids—lucky Trainers may even encounter Shiny Gardevoir after a successful raid! And instead of the traditional chocolate, Pokémon GO Trainers can look forward to receiving double Stardust from opening Gifts and enjoy a two-hour duration for Lure Modules.

The Lovely Wishes Timed Research offers the opportunity for Trainers to choose the branched research path their heart desires. Available bonuses include extra XP for catching Pokémon, extra Candy for catching Pokémon, or an increased duration for the Daily Adventure Incense. Have a sweet tooth? A Global Valentine’s Day Challenge offers Trainers the chance to increase that sweet, sweet transfer Candy. If Trainers around the world send 100,000,000 Gifts before the event ends on February 14, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. PST, everyone will receive triple transfer Candy for the duration of the event, and Trainers at Level 31 and higher will enjoy double transfer Candy XL as well.

Last, but certainly not least, show some love for Luvdisc Limited Research Day on February 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Spin Photo Discs at PokéStops to receive Limited Field Research tasks. Successfully complete the tasks to earn encounters with Luvdisc. During this time, there’s an increased chance you might rendezvous with a Shiny Luvdisc.
