Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Ranked Battles November 2022 Season (Season 36)

The final season of Ranked Battles will continue until the end of service.

Here it is, the grand finale season of Ranked Battles (season 36) in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield games. This season will continue until service ends, the specifics of which will be announced at a later time. There won’t be any rewards based on rankings—this season is all for bragging rights!

Season 36 will use Series 14 regulations, which means you can battle with two powerful, usually ineligible Legendary Pokémon by your side. Also, Pokémon are allowed to Dynamax or Gigantamax during battle.

Only Pokémon obtained in the Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, Pokémon Shining Pearl, Pokémon Sword, or Pokémon Shield games or those with the battle-ready symbol are eligible. Pokémon from previous games in the Pokémon series can receive the battle-ready symbol from the character next to the door in the center of the Battle Tower in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. When the battle-ready symbol is applied to your Pokémon, your Pokémon will forget the moves it knows. If your Pokémon forgets moves that it cannot use or learn in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, those moves cannot be relearned.
