Magneton

Let’s get electric! Magneton’s Overvolt Discharge Ability makes it possible to power up most Pokémon in a single turn at the cost of being Knocked Out. That’s usually detrimental, but guaranteeing your next attack is almost always strong, and manipulating your opponent’s Prize cards can be key for cards like Counter Catcher and Briar. We expect to see Magneton find its way into Miraidon ex decks, or perhaps even paired with the upcoming Pikachu ex!

Slaking ex

Doing 280 damage with an attack in the Pokémon TCG is usually difficult, but Slaking proves that despite its prior reputation, it can be easy breezy! For just , Slaking ex can do 280 damage with its Great Swing attack, which is enough to Knock Out most Pokémon ex and Pokémon V. You’ll have to discard an Energy, but that’s a low cost if you’re taking one-hit Knock Outs. The real drawback is that Slaking’s Born to Slack Ability requires that the opponent has a Pokémon ex or Pokémon V in play for it to be able to attack at all, so you can’t solely rely on the Lazy Pokémon.

Exeggcute

You can do it, Exeggcute! This Pokémon may not be known for its kinesthetics, but illustrator Yuriko Akase portrays Exeggcute around all kinds of sporting gear…and a suspicious shadow of a palm tree. We wonder if the Egg Pokémon is dreaming of something even bigger than sports in this illustration.

Technical Machine: Fluorite

You’ve seen a couple of Technical Machine Pokémon Tool cards come through the last few expansions, but none quite as colorful as this. Technical Machine: Fluorite’s attack has a unique Energy cost of and makes it possible to heal all damage from each of your Tera Pokémon. Discarding all your Energy with this attack is a hefty cost, but some Trainers might try to combo it with Reversal Energy while behind on Prize cards, so that it only costs a single attachment!
