Get ready, Trainers! There is a lot of fun in store for you in Pokémon GO this November. Supereffective Week will teach you about the various strengths and weaknesses of Pokémon, Terrakion will be coming to raid battles, and Friend Fest will help you bond with family and friends. Here’s what you’ll have to look forward to.
Supereffective Week
Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST to Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST
Team GO Rocket is causing trouble again, and the best way to take them out is to use Pokémon that have a type advantage against their Pokémon. Fairy-type moves, for example, are super effective in battle against Fighting-type Pokémon. Likewise, Bug-type moves are super effective against Psychic-type Pokémon. During Supereffective Week, Pokémon found in the wild, in raids, and in Field Research will be more likely to be strong against Team GO Rocket and other Trainers.
During this event, you’ll earn a guaranteed Charged TM from three-star raids, which will be extremely useful for equipping your Pokémon with their most powerful Charged Attack. You’ll also earn twice the normal Stardust from Trainer Battles and more Potion and Revive drops from PokéStops. And if you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Tentacool!
Encounter Terrakion in Raids
Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST to Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST
Assemble a team of powerful Pokémon, as you’ll be facing the Cavern Pokémon, Terrakion, in five-star raids. This Rock- and Fighting-type Legendary Pokémon has trouble standing up to Water-, Grass-, Fighting-, Ground-, Psychic-, Steel-, and Fairy-type attacks, so come prepared! Defeat the mighty Terrakion, and you’ll have a chance to catch it for your collection.
Friend Fest
Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST to Monday, December 2, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. PST
The first-ever Pokémon GO Friend Fest celebrates the spirit of family and friendship. In this event, family-themed Pokémon—such as Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, their Evolutions, and more—will appear more often in research tasks and the wild. Players will also enjoy some exciting bonuses, including trades that cost only half the usual Stardust, two special trades per day, and an attack bonus boost when raiding with friends.
There’s certainly plenty to do in Pokémon GO in November, so mark your calendars now. Your family and friends won’t want to miss a minute of the excitement! Have fun, Trainers!
