The deadline to enter the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024 is fast approaching. Artists have until 5:59 a.m. PT on January 31, 2024, to get their entries in. This year’s theme is “Magical Pokémon Moments,” and if you’re looking for inspiration about creating your own, check out this interview with Pokémon TCG illustrator takuyoa, who has worked on dozens of Pokémon TCG cards—including many Pokémon ex. Artists entering the contest can choose from a handful of Pokémon, including Charizard, Pikachu, Eevee, Feraligatr, Flygon, Absol, Bidoof, Melmetal, Amped Form Toxtricity, or Koraidon. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top artists in a handful of categories, and the top winning illustrations will be made into promo cards. Promo card distribution will vary by country.
