Ash and friends catch a boat headed to Pacifidlog Town and the next Pokémon Contest, but engine troubles force them to stopover on a small island.  Here they find herds of Donphan at the height of their mating season. Unfortunately, Donphan tend to be overly aggressive during this period, as they make elaborate displays of their strength. After repeated attacks, these friends are separated, with only minutes until the last ferry leaves the island. Missing the ferry could cost May her chance at entry in the Grande Festival, but she feels duty-bound to look after her brother, who’s still lost on the island.
