Play! Points are awarded to players for simply doing what they love: playing Pokémon. Players earn Play! Points at every sanctioned Pokémon tournament or League Season they participate in. Larger events such as Championship Series competitions award even more Play! Points.
Play! Points differ from Championship Points because they reward players just for playing, while Championship Points reward players for high placement at tournaments.
Play! Points will be awarded only to players who complete at least two rounds of a tournament. Any byes do not count toward this two-round total. Forced losses for late arrival do not count toward the two-round total, either.
To earn Play! Points, set up a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Play! Pokémon Player ID, set your preferences to opt in to Play! Pokémon programs, and then participate in Pokémon Leagues and tournaments. Please note that players must choose whether to earn Play! Points for the Pokémon TCG, video game, or Pokémon GO, as points are awarded separately for each game.
