This season’s VG Regional Championships will feature Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in the Standard format.
The Pokémon VG Autumn Regionals will be held on the weekends of October 3, October 10, and October 17, 2015. Gameplay typically begins on Saturday and concludes on Sunday. Are there any requirements for attendance?
The Autumn Regional Championships do not require an invitation or qualification. All players in good standing are welcome to participate. Players must bring their own system in the Nintendo 3DS family, Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Game Card or downloadable version, and charger. Players must have a legal team to compete.
What is the entry fee?
Entry fees may be charged by the event organizer. These fees will vary by location and age division. Be sure to read the event listings when available for specific details.
What games will be played?
The VG Autumn Regional Championships will feature the Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video games.

How will a winner be determined?
All Pokémon VG Autumn Regional Championships will use the following methods to determine a champion:
Age Modified Swiss pairings
A cut to a single-elimination finals, attendance permitting
Single-elimination finals will be run as best-of-three matches
What are the prizes?
Prizes are awarded to the top players in each of three age divisions. Players must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached, and must have opted in to the Play! Pokémon program in order to earn points and awards.
All participants will receive 3 Play! Points and a Pokémon Regional Championships promo card (while supplies last), just for playing! Players will receive Championship Points according to the tables listed here.
