Hopeful Trainers are headed to São Paulo, Brazil, for the Latin America International Championships, the first International Championships event of the 2020 Championship Series season. Pokémon TCG and video game players will have their skills tested as they begin the road to qualifying for the 2020 Pokémon World Championships. You’ll be able to watch many exciting Pokémon battles all weekend long from Friday, November 15, through Sunday, November 17, live from Brazil.

The finals for the Pokémon VGC and TCG will be broadcast consecutively only on Twitch.tv/Pokemon on Sunday starting at 7 a.m. EST. Don’t forget to check out the winning teams and decks at Pokemon.com/EventResults once the tournament is complete.

This is the last international event to use the now well-trodden GS Cup format featuring almost all Pokémon available in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon. This format permits players to include two of the most powerful Legendary Pokémon on their teams. Despite the numerous high-level tournaments that have featured these restrictions, Trainers continue to find ways to innovate their teams. Don’t miss this last hurrah before Trainers switch over to battles on Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

What to Watch: Pokémon TCG

Dedicated Pokémon TCG stream: Twitch.tv/PokemonTCG
Commentators: Josue Rojano, Kyle Sabelhaus, Nicholas Pearce, Joe Bernard
Friday, November 15: 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. EST (approx.)

Sunday, November 17: After VGC finals on Twitch.tv/Pokemon (approx. 11:15 a.m. EST)

This event will be the first to allow cards from the Pokémon TCG: Sun & Moon—Cosmic Eclipse expansion, meaning players will have to scramble to come up with new strategies—and defenses—against a bunch of awesome new cards. Following the card rotation in August, only Pokémon TCG expansions from Sun & Moon—Ultra Prism and on, as well as Black Star Promo cards numbered SM94 and up, will be permitted for this competition, so anticipate new cards making a major impact.
