Pokémon TCG players competed using the Standard format. For the 2022 Championship Series season, players were allowed to use cards printed in the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield expansion and later, as well as Black Star Promo cards. The Europe International Championships regulations permitted all cards through the Sword & Shield—Brilliant Stars expansion.
