There were more live Pokémon GO events in 2019 than ever, with three Pokémon GO Fests across three different continents and the introduction of Safari Zone events to Brazil, Canada, and Singapore. Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taichung City, Taiwan
Get ready to be dazzled by lanterns, music, and Pokémon alike! The special nonticketed, citywide event will take place during the Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taichung City, Taiwan, from Thursday, February 6, to Sunday, February 9, 2020. This event will feature lots of Pokémon that can illuminate the skies, like Mareep, Electrike, Volbeat, and Illumise. Trainers will be able to celebrate the light-themed event by catching Unown L, and they will also be able to enjoy the lovely sounds of Chimecho, the Wind Chime Pokémon.
Safari Zone in St. Louis, Missouri, US
The very first Safari Zone event of the year will take place in the Tower Grove Park of St. Louis, Missouri, from Friday, March 27, to Sunday, March 29, 2020. Tickets will probably sell fast, so be prepared when they go live this Friday, January 24, 2020. Tickets will be sold through the Pokémon GO app and will be first come, first served. General admission tickets will be $12, and early access tickets will be $18.
Trainers can look forward to encountering Mankey, Unown S, Teddiursa, Snivy, and Ferroseed throughout the park. Trainers from the northern hemisphere may be particularly excited to see Chatot, a Pokémon that usually appears only in the southern hemisphere.
Safari Zone in Liverpool, UK
The UK’s first-ever Safari Zone will be taking place in Liverpool’s 235-acre Sefton Park from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19, 2020. During this maritime-themed event, Trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Krabby, Dratini, Chinchou, Unown V, and Oshawott in the wild. Relicanth—typically available only in New Zealand, Samoa, and several other islands in the southwest Pacific—will also be appearing in the wild.
General admission tickets are £14.40, and early access tickets are £21.60. A £3.60 service fee will be added to each order (up to four tickets per order). Along with the general admission and early access tickets, an additional experience will also be available: the City Explorer Pass. The City Explorer Pass is £9.60 and can be purchased only along with a Safari Zone ticket. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
Safari Zone in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US
Another Safari Zone event will be taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from Friday, May 8, to Sunday, May 10, 2020. Tickets will be first come, first served. General admission tickets will be $12, and early access tickets will be $18. Stay tuned—we’ll share more details as soon as we can.
