Have you heard the latest buzz? The Bug Out event is returning to Pokémon GO, giving Trainers the chance to catch all sorts of creepy, crawly, and totally cute Bug-type Pokémon. From Friday, April 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time, you’ll encounter Bug-type Pokémon more frequently in the wild, face off against Bug-type Raid Bosses, enjoy special Field Research tasks, and more!
Bug Out Event Bonuses
During the hours of the event, you’ll be able to take advantage of the following bonuses.

2× XP for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.

Increased Candy for Nice Throws or better.
-
Increased Candy XL for Nice Throws or better for Trainers level 31 and up.
-
Increased chance to encounter Shiny Combee and Shiny Burmy.

Throughout the entirety of the Bug Out event, you may see the following Pokémon more frequently in the wild. The Pokémon in italics have a chance of appearing as Shiny Pokémon!

Other Bug Out Activities
The Bug Out event will also feature themed Collection Challenges that award Trainers with encounters and Mega Energy for certain Bug-type Pokémon, and PokéStop Showcases where you can enter event-themed Pokémon. New avatar items will be available for purchase in the in-game shop, including Burmy-themed earrings and bags inspired by Combee. These items will continue to be available after the event ends.
