The annual celebration of all things Pokémon—known worldwide as Pokémon Day—takes place on February 27, 2025. While there are a variety of ways to join the fun, catching colorful Pokémon in a Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet mass outbreak event will leave you feeling anything but blue. From Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. PST to Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, mass outbreaks of red-, green-, and blue-colored Pokémon will be appearing throughout various locations. Shiny Pokémon are more likely to appear in these special mass outbreaks, so don’t be left feeling green with envy!

Mass outbreaks are a phenomenon in which many of the same species of Pokémon appear in one location. To participate in mass outbreak events, you will need to download the latest Poké Portal News and install the latest update data for your game.
