During today’s Nintendo Direct, new information was revealed about a couple of upcoming Pokémon releases, including an announcement featuring the return of a beloved mystery-solving Pokémon and new updates about The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, the two-part DLC expansion for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet.

The wisecracking, coffee-loving, great Detective Pikachu is back in Detective Pikachu Returns for Nintendo Switch systems. Pikachu and his trusty partner, Tim Goodman, work together to solve a series of mysterious incidents that are occurring in Ryme City, a place where humans and Pokémon live side by side. More information has been revealed about the new locations you’ll explore in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero for Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, the games’ upcoming DLC expansion. In Part 1: The Teal Mask, the first part of this new adventure, you’ll visit Mossui Town in the land of Kitakami, where you’ll be lodged in the community center for the duration of the school trip. In Part 2: The Indigo Disk, you’ll be studying abroad at Blueberry Academy, which hosts a facility called the Terarium Dome that maintains a variety of ecosystems for Pokémon to inhabit.
