The newest Season of Pokémon GO is all about taking your battles to the max, and the GO Big event is capitalizing on that theme with the introduction of Dynamax Pokémon. From September 10 at 10:00 a.m. to September 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time, several Dynamax Pokémon will be appearing in one-star Max Battles. You can challenge Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo—if you catch them, you’ll be able to Dynamax them and their Evolutions in Max Battles! During this event, Trainers can go big on XP with event bonuses such as double XP for winning a Max Battle and double XP for spinning PokéStops.

Trainers will also be able to max out their research during this event. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks to get encounters with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo—lucky Trainers might even encounter a Shiny one! Additionally, the next part of the Seasonal Special Research story will be available at the start of the event. Trainers can complete tasks focused on Max Battles to earn Max Particles, a new avatar item, and more. This Special Research can be claimed at no cost between September 3 at 10:00 a.m. and December 3, 2024, at 9:59 a.m. local time.
