The tides are shifting during Pokémon GO’s Deep Depths event. From Wednesday, March 19, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, March 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Nickit, the Fox Pokémon, and its Evolution, Thievul, make their Pokémon GO debuts. Collect 50 Nickit Candy, and you can evolve Nickit into Thievul. During the event, you’ll also be able to take advantage of a pair of bonuses: 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event, and an increased chance to encounter and hatch Shiny Clauncher.

Other Event Activities

In addition to all these Pokémon encounters, there will also be special event-themed Field Research tasks during the event that award encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Plus, there will be Timed Research that awards 10 Kubfu Candy, a Mysterious Component, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon after completing the Timed Research, and more.

There will also be paid Timed Research available for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Complete tasks associated with this Timed Research to collect rewards including two Super Incubators, a Star Piece, and encounters with Clauncher and Nickit. Please note that the tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Monday, March 24, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
