Get ready for a blast from the past, Trainers! Fossil Pokémon will appear more often in Pokémon GO during Adventure Week, happening until August 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll also be able to encounter Shiny Tyrunt and Shiny Amaura—if you’re lucky! Enjoy special event bonuses including twice the XP for spinning PokéStops, five times the XP for spinning a PokéStop for the first time, and half Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event. Mega Tyranitar will also make its tyrannical Pokémon GO debut in Mega Raids! Defeat Mega Tyranitar to earn Mega Energy so you can Mega Evolve one of the most powerful Pokémon in Pokémon GO.
Timed Research and Collection Challenge
Make time to enjoy no-cost Timed Research where you can choose between exploration-focused or research-focused tasks. A paid Timed Research with exploration-related tasks and additional rewards—including two Incubators, a Super Incubator, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon—will also be available for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Please note that Timed Research will expire at the end of the event on August 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time. In addition to Timed Research, Trainers can look forward to completing a brand-new Collection Challenge where they can earn Stardust as well as encounters with Tyrunt and Amaura.
