As we mentioned in the Pokémon Masters EX five-year anniversary article, the Indigo League Champion Lance has got a set of fancy new threads blessed by Arceus itself, as well as powerful new moves and passive skills that put a different spin on this iconic Pokémon-Trainer combination.

Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite are a Dragon-type strike sync pair that excel at bringing the draconic doom with their arc suit passive skill Dragon Judgment. This passive skill raises the Dragon Type Rebuff of all allied sync pairs by one rank and lowers the Dragon Type Rebuff of all opposing sync pairs by one the first time Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite enter battle. That lowered Dragon Type Rebuff sets the stage nicely for their Dragon-type Hyper Beam and Giga Impact attacks.

Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite’s first use of Hyper Beam and Giga Impact also come with an incredible bonus provided by their passive skill Your Challenge Ends with Me! Their first Hyper Beam will lower their target’s Sp. Def by six stat ranks, while their first Giga Impact will lower their target’s Defense by six stat ranks. Once the opponent’s defenses have been decimated, Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite can showcase the full power of their buddy move, Almighty Roar Hyper Beam, which does more damage based on the target’s lowered Defense and Sp. Def!

Zinnia & Rayquaza

Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite get a lot done on their own, but they’ll always benefit from having another Dragon-type sync pair on the squad. Zinnia & Rayquaza are a Dragon-type strike sync pair who bring in those good stat boosts thanks to both sync pairs’ shared Dragon theme skill as well as Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite’s Dragon Myth passive skill. Zinnia & Rayquaza can also choose to focus on using Draco Meteor as their damaging move of choice, which works well with Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite’s Dragon Judgment lowering the Dragon Type Rebuff of all opposing sync pairs by one rank.

Players can obtain Zinnia & Rayquaza after completing The Dragon That Rules the Sky in the Legendary Adventures portion of the main story.

Clair (New Year’s 2024) & Drampa

Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite can fully raise their Attack, Sp. Atk, and critical-hit rate, but they still need their defenses strengthened to withstand attacks that hit all allied sync pairs. Clair (New Year’s 2024) & Drampa can help with their Trainer move, X Defense All, which raises the Defense of all allied sync pairs by two stat ranks with each use. Clair (New Year’s 2024) & Drampa can also keep Arc Suit Lance & Dragonite nice and healthy with their passive skill 1st S-Move: Team HP Recovery (M) 2, which heals all allied sync pairs by 40% of their maximum HP the first time Clair (New Year’s 2024) & Drampa use their sync move in battle—gotta love family!

Clair (New Year’s 2024) & Drampa are not currently available to scout, though they may return in the future.
