Eevee and its many Evolutions, who have arrived as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, may be the stars of the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion, Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions, but they’re hardly the only cards waiting to be discovered in this set. You’ll find all sorts of exciting new cards along with reprints of popular cards from recent expansions that feature all-new artwork. Shinji Kanda has a knack for bringing something completely new to a Pokémon illustration. The colors and textures in this artwork feel almost world-ending, emphasizing the ancient nature of this Paradox Pokémon. Roaring Moon ex is also known for being a world ender in the competitive Pokémon TCG—in addition to a strong performance at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, it saw success at the Bogotá Special Event in early December as part of Andres Chingaté’s second-place deck, so this new artwork is likely to add some extra flair to a powerful archetype.

You could cut your opponent’s deck with all this edge…metaphorically, of course. Ceruledge ex looks fierce and edgy, ready to slash your opponents with phantasmic heat. You can take advantage of its Abyssal Flames attack too—Natalie Millar recently broke down how to build and play a deck featuring Ceruledge ex. If you’re fortunate enough to pull this card, you’ll definitely want to be in the know.

Illustrator Yukihiro Tada has mostly portrayed Pokémon in natural environments up to this point, but they’ve flanked Teal Mask Ogerpon ex with a bright orange and yellow background in this upcoming special illustration rare. The brilliant, jeweled aesthetic of Teal Mask Ogerpon ex’s Terastallized mask is on full display, and it’s certain to brighten Raging Bolt ex / Teal Mask Ogerpon ex decks in the future.
