It’s slime time in Pokémon GO with the June 2024 Community Day, putting Goomy in the spotlight! On June 9, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, this Dragon-type Pokémon first discovered in the Kalos region will appear more frequently in the wild. Trainers may even find Shiny Goomy—if they’re lucky! Catch as many Goomy as possible to take advantage of event bonuses including 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon, and 2× the chance for Trainers level 31 and above to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon. Make the most of Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense), both of which will last for three hours during the event. Trainers can make an additional Special Trade that day for a total of two, and all trades will require 50% less Stardust.
Evolve Sliggoo—Goomy’s Evolution—during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Goodra that knows the Electric-type Charged Attack Thunder Punch. Just remember to bring your rain jacket—to evolve Sliggoo into Goodra, the weather needs to be rainy or you need to be near a PokéStop with a Rainy Lure Module. Embrace the goo with the Goomy Community Day Special Research story available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Pick up a ticket through the in-game shop or gift a ticket to Trainers you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Take on event-themed Field Research tasks to earn rewards including Stardust, Great Balls, additional encounters with Goomy, and more. You can also add a Rainy Lure Module to your inventory by completing Timed Research between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time.
Bonus Raid Battles
Make the most of the Community Day fun with four-star Raid Battles featuring Sliggoo from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. After a successful Raid Battle, more Goomy will appear around the raid Gym for 30 minutes. These four-star raids are not accessible via Remote Raid Passes—they can only be accessed with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.
