Mega Lopunny Arrives in Pokémon GO Along with Chansey and Happiny in Flower Crowns

Fun is blooming with some egg-cellent bonuses during the Spring into Spring event.

Ah, springtime—a time of renewal, celebration, and basketfuls of Pokémon in Pokémon GO! You can join in on the seasonal festivities during the Spring into Spring event from Sunday, April 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time. During this huge event, Mega Lopunny will make its Pokémon GO debut and you’ll encounter Pokémon wearing adorable flower crowns.

To help get you in the battling mood when Mega Lopunny appears in Mega Raids, you can dress your avatar in Mega Lopunny-inspired avatar items that will be available in the in-game shop. Of course, you’ll find plenty of other Pokémon springing forth—Pikachu (wearing a flower crown), Exeggcute, Marill, Plusle, Minun, Buneary, Bunnelby, and others will appear more often in the wild. And if you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Bunnelby.

Be on the lookout for Chansey wearing a flower crown in the wild and crowned Happiny hatching from Eggs. If you evolve one of these special Chansey into Blissey, that Blissey will also sport a flower crown. And yes, you might even find Shiny Chansey or Shiny Happiny wearing flower crowns of their own!

Exeggcute, Eevee (wearing a flower crown), Pichu wearing a flower crown, Togepi, Azurill, Buneary, Happiny (wearing a flower crown), Munchlax, Rufflet, and Bunnelby will hatch more often from 2 km Eggs. You’ll also face more Shadow Exeggcute when dealing with those rotten ruffians from Team GO Rocket.

There will also be event-exclusive Field Research tasks that reward Trainers with encounters featuring Azumarill, Rufflet, and more. Complete the spring-themed Collection Challenge during this event to receive a Lucky Egg, Mega Lopunny Energy, and XP. You’ll even discover event-exclusive, spring-themed Gift stickers in PokéStops and Gifts, so be sure to get them while they’re available.

You’d better get cracking, because you’ll also notice some Egg-related bonuses during the event: you’ll earn twice the usual Candy for hatching Eggs, Lucky Eggs will last for one hour, and Eggs that are placed in an Incubator during the event will only require half the usual distance to hatch.

What a bright, sunshiny way to celebrate the season. There’s a lot to do during the Spring into Spring event, Trainers, so hop to it and have fun!
