Oranguru and Shiny Cherubi Debut in Pokémon GO

The Sustainability Week 2022 event features the arrival of more Pokémon along with a Collection Challenge and Timed Research.

Celebrate nature during Pokémon GO’s Sustainability Week 2022 event. Through Monday, April 25, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time, you’ll see the Pokémon GO debut of Oranguru and—if you’re lucky—Shiny Cherubi. There will also be a Collection Challenge and special Timed Research, and during the event, you’ll earn twice the usual XP when you spin your first PokéStop. Be sure to pick up the Event Box bundle in the in-game shop at no cost. Inside the bundle will be a Mossy Lure Module, which should be particularly handy, as there are Pokémon that will only show up during the event if they’re attracted by a Mossy Lure Module.

By completing the nature-inspired Collection Challenge, you’ll contribute to your Elite Collector medal, and you’ll earn a Mossy Lure Module and 15 Great Balls. The event’s Timed Research takes place on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. Each phase of the Timed Research requires you to adventure 1 km, and in doing so, you’ll earn an encounter with Cherubi.
