If you’re looking for a way to celebrate the November 19 release of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, Pokémon GO has you covered with an event that’s already under way! This collaboration event is an opportunity for Pokémon GO Trainers to encounter, battle, and catch Pokémon that first appeared in the Sinnoh region. Some of these Pokémon will even be wearing costumes inspired by the games’ protagonists, Dawn and Lucas. The event runs until Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Here are just some of the Pokémon that you can encounter during the event.
Bidoof, Kricketot, and Buizel will be appearing more frequently in the wild throughout the event.
Gible and Gallade will be appearing in Raid Battles.
Mime Jr. and Riolu will be hatching from 7 km Eggs.
Some Pokémon featured in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, including Larvitar and Stunky, will be appearing in the wild until Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Some Pokémon featured in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond, including Cranidos, will be appearing in Raid Battles until Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
Some Pokémon featured in Pokémon Shining Pearl, including Bagon and Glameow, will be appearing in the wild from Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Some Pokémon featured in Pokémon Shining Pearl, including Shieldon, will be appearing in Raid Battles from Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
The first partner Pokémon that Trainers in Sinnoh commonly team up with—Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup—are always adorable, but wait till you see them donning the hats Dawn and Lucas wear in the games! During the first half of the event, you can encounter these Pokémon wearing Lucas’s hat in the wild and these Pokémon wearing Dawn’s hat by completing Field Research tasks. Throughout the second half of the event, you can encounter these Pokémon wearing Dawn’s hat in the wild and these Pokémon wearing Lucas’s hat by completing Field Research tasks.
Eggs placed in Incubators during this brilliant event will require half the usual Hatch Distance, and Eggs placed in Super Incubators during the event will require a third of the usual Hatch Distance.
You’ll also be able to complete an event-exclusive Collection Challenge that’ll reward you with an encounter with Froslass.
Finally, Shinx—a Pokémon originally discovered in Sinnoh—will be the featured November Community Day Pokémon on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
Time to shine, Trainers!
