Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Playoffs Information

The Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Playoffs are approaching. Learn more about the playoff format, schedule, and prizing.

Pokémon TCG players from local game stores across North America and Europe competed in Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Qualifiers from September to December. They’re now entering the next phase of the tournament: the Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Playoffs, starting January 14, 2023. Players who won a Qualifier and earned a spot on their local game store’s roster will face off against other local game store teams until the Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Champion is crowned following the Grand Finals later this year.

Playoff Format

The Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Playoffs will use the 2022 Standard format, including the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield—Silver Tempest expansion. All matches will be played in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online in a single-elimination format with open deck lists. These matches will be played between two teams of three players, with each player playing each member of the opposing team once—the first team to win five matches wins the set and advances to the next round.

Pokémon Team Challenge—Season 4 Playoff matches begin on January 14, 2023, and will continue weekly until the Top 4 teams are decided on March 19, 2023. More details about the semifinals and finals will be announced at a later date. Weekly bracket updates can be found at Tournament Center.
