Rosa is once again ready to battle in Pokémon Masters EX, complete with a stylish new costume and a new sync pair partner—the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin. This Grass-type tech sync pair excels at altering stats—both their own and their opponents’. Their Seed Flare move can lower the target’s Sp. Def in addition to dealing damage, priming Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin to make the best use of their sync move, Grass Beam of Gratitude, which grows in power the more the target’s Sp. Def is lowered.
Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin will be available until September 30, 2022, at 10:59 p.m. PDT. See below for a list of their moves and skills.

Recommended Sync Pairs to Partner with Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin
Sygna Suit Elesa & Rotom
Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin are a powerful pair that can raise their own Sp. Atk and critical-hit rate with Gift of Gratitude!, but they don’t quite reach their maximum potential alone. Sygna Suit Elesa & Rotom are a strong complementary pair that can support Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin by fully raising their Sp. Atk with X Sp. Atk All and their critical-hit rate with Breathtaking! On top of that, Breathtaking! can also raise Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin’s accuracy and reduce their sync move countdown by two. Since Elesa and Rosa both hail from the Unova region, they also benefit from their shared Unova theme skill, granting both units bonus Attack, Sp. Atk, and HP.
Sygna Suit Elesa & Rotom are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Unova Ticket Scout.
Giovanni & Mewtwo
There are plenty of pairs with powerful Sp. Atk moves that synergize well with Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin’s Shuddering Snarl 9, but few do it better than Giovanni & Mewtwo. Giovanni & Mewtwo’s sync grid tile Brainteaser powers up their moves the more their target’s Sp. Def is lowered, making for a powerful damage multiplier. Giovanni & Mewtwo can lower their target’s Sp. Def with Shadow Ball, and Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin can do it easier still with Seed Flare and Shuddering Snarl 9, making the two pairs a combination to be reckoned with.
Giovanni & Mewtwo can be acquired after completing Lurking Shadow in the Legendary Adventures section of the main story.
Ghetsis & Kyurem
Ghetsis & Kyurem add another layer of targeted stat reduction to any team composition featuring Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin. Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin can already enhance the damage multiplier from Power Loving through Seed Flare and Shuddering Snarl 9, but Ghetsis & Kyurem’s Noble Roar adds even more fuel to the fire. Noble Roar not only makes Power Loving more...well, powerful, but it also lowers the Attack and Sp. Atk of a strong opponent. Ghetsis & Kyurem also share the Unova Tech theme skill with Rosa (Special Costume) & Shaymin, granting both units bonus Attack and Sp. Atk.
Ghetsis & Kyurem can be acquired after completing Father or Foe in the Legendary Adventures section of the main story.
