Dive into August’s Pokémon GO Community Day, which highlights the Sea Lion Pokémon, Popplio. On Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Popplio will appear more frequently in the wild. Lucky Trainers might even encounter a Shiny one! Evolve Brionne (Popplio’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Primarina that knows the Charged Attack Hydro Cannon. Starting with this event and continuing afterwards, Primarina will be able to learn the Charged Attack Sparkling Aria.

But that’s not all! You’ll feel extra bubbly as you enjoy these bonuses during the event.

• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.

• 3× XP for catching Pokémon.

• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.

• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.

• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.

• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!

• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day (this bonus will be available until 10:00 p.m. local time).

• Trades will require 50% less Stardust (this bonus will be available until 10:00 p.m. local time).

Bonus Raid Battles

After the Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on Brionne in special four-star Raid Battles from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time. Successfully complete one of these Raid Battles, and additional Popplio will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Plus, these Popplio might even be Shiny! These four-star raids are not accessible via Remote Raid Passes—they can only be accessed with Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.

Research

Inflate your fun by taking part in Community Day research, including themed Field Research tasks and a Special Research story. Complete Field Research tasks to earn rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, Popplio encounters, and more. The Community Day Special Research story is available for US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Tickets are available for purchase in the in-game shop, and you can even purchase a ticket for a friend if you have a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
