See More New Cards from the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable Expansion

The story of Kitakami continues to unfold as we discover Munkidori and Fezandipiti from a new perspective in this upcoming expansion.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game: Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable expansion continues to spotlight mysterious Pokémon from the land of Kitakami, including the Legendary Pokémon Munkidori and Fezandipiti as brand-new illustration rare cards. This expansion prominently features the Loyal Three—Munkidori, Fezandipiti, and Okidogi—and, of course, the treacherous Pecharunt ex from our previous preview. Today we have even more unique cards to unveil from the over 95 new cards ready to be discovered when the expansion launches August 2, 2024.

Revavroom ex

Remember Golisopod-GX? This is them now. Just kidding! Revavroom ex is a Pokémon TCG card all its own, but its Accelerator Flash attack bears resemblance to Golisopod-GX’s First Impression attack, which led that Pokémon to several Top 8 finishes at the 2017 and 2018 Pokémon World Championships. Will you be the one to take this Lightning-type Revavroom ex to similarly charged glory when it debuts?

Dangerous Laser

Dangerous Laser is awfully reminiscent of the powerful Hypnotoxic Laser, which featured prominently in numerous decks when it was Standard-legal and still sees play in the Expanded format today. Dangerous Laser heats things up differently, though—it’s an ACE SPEC card, so you can include only one in your deck. It also leaves the opponent’s Pokémon Burned and Confused, meaning that Pokémon is vulnerable to more damage counters but also able to be healed by coin flips.

Munkidori

What can’t Munkidori do? It’s a staple Pokémon in Gardevoir ex decks, it’s a Legendary Pokémon from the land of Kitakami, and this new artwork by Teeziro is drop-dead gorgeous. Bask in the glory of this Retainer Pokémon!

Fezandipiti

Fezandipiti hasn’t quite had the same impact that its fellow Retainer Pokémon Munkidori has, but this upcoming illustration rare card is just as beautiful. Just look at that sunset with Fezandipiti front and center, the clouds and land formations perfectly framing the Pokémon’s elegant form.

Galvantula

  • Illustrator: mashu

Who would win—one mighty Charizard ex with 330 HP or one single-Prize Galvantula with less than a third of that HP? Well, this Galvantula is full of surprises, because between its Compound Eyes Ability and the bonus damage from having Lightning Energy attached, the EleSpider Pokémon can do up to 360 damage against the metagame-dominating Darkness-type Charizard ex.

You’ll find these and many more cards when the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable expansion releases August 2, 2024.
