Step into the spotlight during Pokémon GO’s Dazzling Dream event from Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time. You can look forward to Fairy-type Pokémon appearing more often in the wild, and you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Cutiefly for the first time in Pokémon GO—if you’re lucky! During this glimmering time, Trainers can earn twice the Stardust for catching Pokémon and hatching Pokémon from Eggs. Keep an eye out for Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Marill, Snubbull, Cottonee, Spritzee, Swirlix, Dedenne, Cutiefly, and Morelull. Flabébé will also appear in different colors based on your region. Red Flower Flabébé will appear in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, Blue Flower Flabébé will appear in the Asia-Pacific region, and Yellow Flower Flabébé will appear in the Americas.

Lucky Trainers may encounter Togetic, White Flower Flabébé, and Orange Flower Flabébé. Pokémon hatching from 7 km Eggs collected during the event include Togepi, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Cutiefly—Cutiefly that hatch from those Eggs have a higher chance of being Shiny!

Field Research

If you’re on the search for that Shiny Cutiefly, look no further than Field Research tasks featuring a variety of adorable Pokémon as potential encounters. Alolan Vulpix, Spritzee, Swirlix, and Cutiefly are all possible event-themed Field Research task encounters during the event. If you’re lucky, you may even encounter Mawile or Carbink after completing Field Research tasks. Certain Field Research tasks will award Mega Gardevoir Energy or Mega Altaria Energy.

For Trainers looking to get even more out of this event, event-exclusive Timed Research will be available for US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency). Complete the research tasks to earn two Premium Battle Passes, XP, Stardust, two Star Pieces, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon! Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
