Shiny Nymble Debuts in Pokémon GO’s Small Yet Strong Event

Great things come in small packages during this celebration of diminutive Pokémon.

The shortest month of the year is the perfect time to celebrate the Pokémon world’s teeny tiny Pokémon. From February 5, at 10:00 a.m. to February 8, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon GO’s Small Yet Strong event shines the spotlight on petite powerhouses. During this time, Shiny Nymble makes its Pokémon GO debut, and event bonuses will include double XP for catching Pokémon and an increased chance of encountering XXS and XXL Pokémon in the wild.

Speaking of the wild, Pokémon appearing in the wild will include Paras, Natu, Plant Cloak Burmy, Sandy Cloak Burmy, Trash Cloak Burmy, Joltik, Tynamo, and Nymble. You may also encounter Flabébé—its flower color will depend on your location. White Flower Flabébé, Orange Flower Flabébé, and Red Flower Flabébé can be found in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Blue Flower Flabébé can be found in the wild in the Asia-Pacific region. Trainers in the Americas can look forward to Yellow Flower Flabébé. Plus, you can hatch a batch of mini cuties—Togepi, Azurill, Budew, Chingling, Espurr, and Dedenne will be hatching from 2 km Eggs.

Take one small step as a Trainer, but one giant leap for Pokémon, by taking on the following raids.

  • Five-Star Raids

    • Dialga (through February 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.)

    • Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) (starting February 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.)

  • Mega Raids

    • Mega Medicham (through February 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.)

    • Mega Tyranitar (starting February 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.)

There are big challenges ahead with research opportunities including Field Research and Timed Research, as well as a . Complete event-themed Field Research to earn encounters with Burmy and Nymble. Timed Research tasks will include catching Pokémon to earn XP, Poké Balls, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. And participate in the Collection Challenge to earn Stardust and an encounter with Nymble.

Time to GO small, Trainers!
