Pokémon GO’s first Community Day of 2025 will be filled with adorable cat-itude. Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon originally discovered in Paldea, saunters into the spotlight on January 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. As always, the featured Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild with lucky Trainers potentially encountering a Shiny Sprigatito. And Trainers that evolve Floragato—Sprigatito’s Evolution—into Meowscarada during the event or up to five hours afterward will have a Meowscarada that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant. Flower power is a continuing theme throughout the event, as starting with this event Meowscarada will now be able to learn the Charged Attack Flower Trick.

The following event bonuses will have you feeling feline.

• 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon

• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon

• 2× chance for Trainers Level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for catching Pokémon

• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours

• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours

• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. local time

• Trades will require 50% less Stardust from 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. local time

Charm your way through research that includes event-themed Field Research tasks focused on catching Sprigatito. This Field Research offers rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, additional encounters with Sprigatito, and more. For US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing in your local currency) Trainers can also take on Sprigatito Community Day–exclusive Special Research. Trainers who complete the research can earn a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, Sprigatito Candy XL, and more. Last but certainly not least, continue the Community Day fun with Timed Research that will be available for one week following the event. Log in on January 2025 Community Day to receive the Timed Research. If you complete it on time, you’ll earn an encounter with a Sprigatito that has a Dual Destiny–themed Special Background.
