A certain Trainer has caught the eye of Geeta, Top Champion of Paldea. While exploring Pasio with Lear, she discovers Silver training with his Shiny Tyranitar—and she’s impressed by his potential. Silver doesn’t care what Geeta thinks, but he’s still determined to be the greatest Pokémon Trainer in the world. He’ll have the opportunity to prove that he has what it takes during the latest Neo Champion Stadium, where Geeta will be applying her strict Champion criteria. Find out how Silver tackles the Neo Champion Stadium in Story Event: Honing One’s Love.
Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar
Get ready to rock your opponents with a powerful Neo Champion sync pair. Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar are a Rock-type strike sync pair that can really solidify their allies’ physical strengths. Their Johto Passion Trainer move increases all allies’ Physical Move ↑ Next effect by one stat rank and applies Johto Circle (Physical) to the allied field of play. Johto Circle (Physical) powers up all allies’ physical attack moves and physical sync moves, and reduces the damage allies take from physical attack moves and physical sync moves. These bonuses get even better with each additional sync pair with the Johto theme skill on your team!
Of course, this being Silver, he’s still plenty devoted to the idea of strength. Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar can raise their Attack by six stat ranks and raise their critical-hit rate by three stat ranks with their Trainer move Eyes on Glory! If this move is used during a sandstorm, it also reduces the sync move countdown by one and raises their accuracy by one stat rank, making it easier to land the powerful Stone Edge. Don’t be concerned about the need for setup; Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar can immediately whip up a sandstorm when they enter the battlefield with their passive skill Destructive Instinct.
For more details on this sync pair’s passive skills and moves, check out Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar’s in-game sync pair scout screen. Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar are available to scout until April 7, 2024, at 10:59 p.m. PDT.
Recommended Sync Pairs to Partner with Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar
Olivia & Lycanroc
This Rock-type sync pair from the Alola region may not power up Johto Circle (Physical), but it still has excellent synergy with Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar’s passive skill Destructive Instinct. Olivia & Lycanroc have two sync grid tiles that increase their power in a sandstorm—Surging Sand 3 and Sand Blaster 5. The former powers up Olivia & Lycanroc’s moves and the latter boosts their sync move. Combine these two sync pairs against opponents that are weak to Rock-type moves to wreak some real, rocky mayhem!
Olivia & Lycanroc are available to scout from the general pool of 5★ sync pairs, as well as from the 5★-Guaranteed Ticket Scout and 5★-Guaranteed Alola Ticket Scout.
Sygna Suit Giovanni & Nidoking
Let’s get sedimental. Giovanni and Silver aren’t exactly the typical father-and-son duo, but these two sync pairs share a few traits that make for a powerful combination. Sygna Suit Giovanni & Nidoking are a strike sync pair with only physical attack moves, thus gaining maximum advantage from Johto Circle (Physical). Better yet, their Johto theme skill increases the bonuses from that field effect and from Silver (Champion) & Tyranitar’s master passive skill, Johto Pride. Together, both sync pairs will dish out a ton of physical damage and take over the battlefield.
Sygna Suit Giovanni & Nidoking are not currently available to scout, though they may return in the future.
Get ready to rock Pasio, Trainers!
