Giratina ex is a profoundly powerful Pokémon ex debuting in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket’s Shining Revelry expansion. It’s a Basic Pokémon ex with a tough 150 HP, and its Broken-Space Bellow Ability gives it additional Energy every turn, and its Chaotic Impact attack slams opponents for significant damage. Although Broken-Space Bellow ends your turn, it’s a small price to pay for potentially game-ending damage. This strategy complements Giratina ex with Mewtwo ex, another Basic
-type Pokémon ex that can dish out mind-warping damage with its Psydrive attack. They’re a strong pairing that leaves plenty of room in the deck for a powerful lineup of Trainer cards. Read on to learn more about to how take advantage of this formidable duo of Legendary Pokémon ex.

Pokémon TCG Pocket decks usually feature five or six Basic Pokémon, but this deck bucks that trend with only three Basic Pokémon and 17 Trainer cards. This ratio helps get Giratina ex out quickly so you can start attaching Energy with its Broken-Space Bellow Ability. You might have seen this Pokémon-to-Trainer card ratio used for Articuno ex decks when Genetic Apex launched, but Giratina ex offers a far more consistent strategy.
Ideally, you’ll start with Giratina ex in the Active Spot and attach Energy to it every turn. It’ll be a couple of turns before you attack, but its high HP, combined with Pokémon Tools like Giant Cape and Rocky Helmet, create a difficult wall for your opponent to deal with in the early game.
Mewtwo ex isn’t as explosive without Gardevoir’s Energy acceleration adding Energy to it every turn, but it remains just as powerful with single Energy attachments as it waits on the Bench behind Giratina ex. Giratina ex does plenty of damage with Chaotic Impact, but it can struggle to clear the high HP of opposing Pokémon ex, including other Giratina ex. Mewtwo ex solves that problem with its 150-damage Psydrive attack. Use Dawn to move Energy around and set up an instant surprise attack with either Mewtwo ex’s Psydrive or Giratina ex’s Chaotic Impact.
Don’t miss one-hit Knock Outs—Red can boost your Giratina ex’s maximum damage to 150 and Mewtwo ex’s maximum damage to 170. There’s a gusting option available too, with Sabrina pushing high HP Pokémon out of the way.
